Cooling Fabric TiesCooling ties are great for all summer activities. The cooling ties contain a water crystal that holds 90 times it's size of water. Tie one around your neck and stay cool! Great addition to your 72 hour kit or emergency first aid kit. How will you stay cool? The coolong tie finished measurement is 30" x 2" (Men's is 1.5" larger). There are 4 pocket sections so that the water crystals stay evenly distributed when hydrated. The first time that you use your water tie you will need to hydrate the crystals. Warm water will speed up the hydration process. Soak the tie in water until the fabric pockets have expanded. If you leave it soaking too long -it may start to feel slimy. Check it every 1/2 hour. Store in the refrigerator or in your ice chest (if wet) in a zip lock bag. **If you leave your cooling tie closed up in a cooler or bag that is not in the refrigerator then it will mildew. Cooling ties can be use cold or hot by microwaving it for 1-2 minutes (Can burn if you get it too hot! Be careful). Add a drop of essential oil to your tie to add an aromatherapy effect.
